HA HA and you will die alone
It never stops raining but we've managed to continue on our path throughout the year and while it's been a slog at times we're getting stuff together.

Much has been promised over the course of the year and I think it's fair to say that we've disappointed most people. We blew out some concerts over the summer through fear of failure and while the studio is still a comfort sooner or later we're going to have to get out there and start proving this fucking shit.

That said the online promotion is going well and we're picking up plenty of plays and comments, most notably via our lastFM page which is worth its weight in gold.

Prior to the end of year report we think we'll have at least an EP out by October and hopefully a new singer as well as ours has truly fucking lost it.

December 11 2006

November 13 2006
It's mid-November and the promises, as ever, haven't been kept. Still there's plenty of time left in the year for us to pull our fingers out and get this album out.
Not that we haven't been busy. We've managed to trim a couple of the more filler like tracks off the album and instead have also managed to finish off two songs that have been pestering us for ages.
We've also been busy getting ready to promote this album and make the most of the last two year's hard work. Closer to the release date we've a special War on Everything mini-site ready to go and the tracks will be available to download both here and not numerous places online. We've also been getting some decent feedback via our track listings at last.fm so things are looking good for a busy 2007.You can check out The Tedious's page at last.fm at http://www.last.fm/music/The+Tedious.

We've also been busy with the Bipolar Recordings' Electronic Music Radio podcast which is gaining in listening with each release. The last edition saw us releasing the whole of the seminal Lucas Patrol album "Death" and you can download this and every other podcast at http://bipolar.libsyn.com/

September 28 2006
The second Tedious album "The War on Everything" will be released in early November.

The provisional track listing is:-
1. The War on Everything
2. Evident to Anyone
3. Arrange to disappear
4. Not good enough
5. Dumb Fucking Idiot
6. A Killing Spree
7. Field of View
8. Nervous
9. What the hell is happening to me?

The album was produced at Closed Mind Studios, Oxfordshire and will be available through BiPolar Recordings and via the BiPolar website at http://bipolar.libsyn.com Alternatively the album will also be available towards the end of the year via Bipolar Recording's Electronic Music Radio podcast at http://bipolar.libsyn.com/rss

The release of the new album will also see us issuing I Tedious on CD for the first time in order to supplement the free downloads that we've also offered. At the present time we envisage that the CD version will be available at cost plus postage. More details nearer the time.

RIOTCLUB Session #1 September 2006
Some of The Tedious, together with our friend Milton Park get it together with US improv artist Sue Ann Harkey for some super electronic freeform sounds down at the rather squalid but equally appropriate Riotclub in West London.

Complete with our full modular doepfer set up we managed to fuck up over a really cool vibe plus also just about managed to get it together to film some shit.
You can see and rate the video at http://youtube.com/watch?v=p1YH21hgoEQ
alternatively you can hit play in the video to save yourselves the effort.

June 2006 The War on Everything release date announced
We're pleased to announce that The Tedious's second album "The War on Everything" is due for release at the end of October/ early November 2006.
At present it looks like there'll be nine to ten songs on the album with a distinctly less miserable flavour than was the case on "I Tedious".

March 2006 New Lucas Patrol album
Sometimes The Tedious have to take a backseat and one of the best way's we've found to relax is by joining our friends at Bipolar stablemates The Nice Neck for a bit of full-on, zonked out, north Wiltshire electrogarde outfit The Lucas Patrol. After years of trying to get something vaguely decent together it feels like we might have managed it this time with our seven track opus called "Death".

We've also managed to get a single out as to compliment the album and rather obviously called Life. Unlike the album, Life was recorded at our very own ClosedMind studios down in south Oxfordshire and, for fans of The Tedious, it has there rather cool Tedious sound to it.
Life is available via Bipolar Recordings' Electronic Music Radio podcast at http://bipolar.libsyn.com

For your delectation here's a YouTube video of the opening track off of the album entitled "Coma".
